Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for city council review
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on healthcare access and urban development initiatives
- Present findings to elected officials and community stakeholders through structured hearings
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements and recommend policy adjustments
- Manage grant applications for public infrastructure projects ($2M+ annual portfolio)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in government affairs or policy analysis
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (required for government clearance)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Spanish language proficiency (bilingual certification required)
