Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for City Council and Mayor's Office
- Conduct quantitative research using census data, economic indicators, and public health metrics
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments to implement equitable housing and climate action plans
- Present findings to stakeholders through executive briefings and public hearings
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $5M+ annually
- Monitor federal/state compliance for programs like Measure HHH and SB 2
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing homelessness and infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government or nonprofit policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, Stata) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated expertise in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
- Knowledge of LA City Charter and municipal governance structures
