Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to inform policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health policy initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders including legislators, community groups, and healthcare providers
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and measure outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams on special health equity projects
- Represent the department at public hearings and community forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS, or SAS)
- Expertise in health policy frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and community outreach
- Valid California driver's license
