Responsibilities
- Analyze Ohio state legislation and policy developments affecting UK interests
- Develop strategic briefings for senior diplomats on Ohio's economic and political landscape
- Coordinate with UK Trade & Investment teams on Ohio market opportunities
- Build relationships with Ohio government officials and business leaders
- Monitor Ohio's innovation sectors including advanced manufacturing and biotechnology
- Prepare diplomatic correspondence and policy recommendations
- Support UK delegations visiting Ohio for trade missions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, or Public Policy
- Minimum 3 years experience in government affairs or policy analysis
- Deep knowledge of Ohio's political system and key industries
- Exceptional research and analytical capabilities
- Strong diplomatic communication and negotiation skills
- Security clearance eligibility (UK Government SC level)
- Experience working with US state governments preferred
