Responsibilities
- Dispatch emergency services (police, fire, EMS) with precision and urgency
- Maintain accurate radio communications during high-stress situations
- Enter and update critical information in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via phone
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- 1+ years customer service or call center experience
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Emergency medical dispatch certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Typing speed: 40+ WPM
