Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls from citizens using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field units
- Enter and update critical incident data in real-time
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Experience in high-pressure customer service environments
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
