Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual detection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and item inspections to identify prohibited items
- Maintain vigilant surveillance of security checkpoints and public areas
- Operate complex security equipment including EDS systems and trace detection portals
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security escalations
- Train on updated security protocols and threat detection methodologies
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong observational skills and situational awareness
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
