Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch appropriate public safety units
- Operate multi-channel radio systems during weekend shifts
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and reports
- Coordinate with hospitals, fire departments, and law enforcement
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time incident tracking
- Provide crisis intervention support to callers
- Participate in mandatory weekend training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- 1+ years dispatch/emergency communications experience
- NIMS/ICS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid DC driver's license
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Proficient in CAD systems and multi-tasking
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
