Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch appropriate units (police, fire, EMS) during night shifts
- Maintain accurate radio communication protocols for 24/7 operations
- Operate CAD systems and maintain detailed incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Conduct routine equipment checks and system diagnostics
- Adhere to all NIMS and local emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year public safety or emergency services experience
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in CAD systems and multi-line phone systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Spanish fluency required (written and verbal)
