Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and dispatch appropriate resources (police, fire, medical) using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents and communications
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during critical situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Monitor radio communications and maintain situational awareness
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
- Participate in ongoing training for emergency procedures and technology
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or emergency dispatch experience
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating night shifts with irregular schedules
