Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls (911) and dispatch appropriate police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain accurate radio communication protocols during critical incidents
- Utilize CAD systems to track incident status and resource allocation
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Document all communications and actions in compliance with NIMS standards
- Participate in continuous training for emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- EMR/EMT certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual highly desirable)
