Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Dispatch field units using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Maintain constant radio communications during weekend operations
- Enter/update critical incident data in real-time
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Operate E911 systems and troubleshoot technical issues
- Complete detailed documentation for all call activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Oregon driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph
- Flexible availability for weekend/holiday shifts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multitasking
- Completion of POST-accredited dispatcher training (or willingness to obtain)
