Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police, fire, and medical resources
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software
- Provide critical pre-arrival medical instructions to callers during emergencies
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and comply with all regulatory protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Continuously update training on crisis de-escalation and trauma-informed response
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid Oregon driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) within 6 months
- Proficiency in multi-tasking under extreme pressure
