Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and provide first aid/CPR during critical incidents
- Patrol assigned neighborhoods to deter crime and enhance community safety
- Collaborate with law enforcement and fire departments during multi-agency operations
- Conduct public education programs on safety protocols and emergency preparedness
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate case documentation
- Operate specialized safety equipment including radios, medical kits, and surveillance tools
- Participate in disaster response drills and continuous training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Colorado EMT-Basic certification or higher
- Minimum 2 years public safety or emergency services experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and psychological evaluation
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and public safety reporting software
