Responsibilities
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws with integrity and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to emergency calls, including medical incidents, fires, and public disturbances
- Conduct routine patrols to deter crime and enhance community visibility
- Document incidents using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with local agencies including police, fire, and emergency management
- Participate in community outreach programs and public safety education initiatives
- Operate emergency vehicles and specialized safety equipment per department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred
- Current EMT-Basic certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years public safety or military experience
- Ability to pass background check, physical agility test, and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and public safety software systems
- Fluency in English; bilingual skills in Spanish highly desirable
- Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident
