Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents within 8 minutes of dispatch
- Conduct patrols to prevent crime and ensure public safety
- Enforce local ordinances and state laws with professionalism
- Provide first aid and emergency medical assistance when required
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with fire, EMS, and other city departments
- Mentor new officers during field training exercises
Qualifications
- Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) required
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement or public safety experience
- CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual bonus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
