Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of public infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Verify compliance with blueprints, specifications, and local ordinances
- Document inspection findings and maintain detailed project records
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works issues
- Prepare written reports and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with stormwater management program implementation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in construction technology or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years construction inspection or field experience
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with clean driving record
- ICBO certifications in building inspection or civil engineering technology
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of municipal codes and construction standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
