Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with city codes, plans, and specifications
- Review engineering drawings and permit applications for accuracy and regulatory alignment
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports with photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve compliance issues
- Enforce safety regulations during construction activities
- Manage permit processing and compliance tracking systems
- Testify in administrative hearings regarding code violations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of construction inspection experience
- Nevada State Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of ICC codes and municipal regulations
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
