Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes, engineering plans, and safety regulations
- Review permit applications and provide technical guidance to contractors and developers
- Document findings through detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant-funded infrastructure projects
- Conduct field investigations and resolve code violations
- Prepare progress reports and recommendations for project modifications
- Train junior inspectors on regulatory requirements and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Colorado Inspector Certification (ICC or equivalent)
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Knowledge of ADA, IBC, and local municipal codes
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and traverse uneven terrain
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
