Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of municipal infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, utilities)
- Verify compliance with city codes, engineering plans, and safety regulations
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen concerns related to public works projects
- Assist in permitting processes and code enforcement activities
- Participate in emergency response for infrastructure issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 3+ years construction inspection or public works experience
- ICPI/ACI certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of municipal construction standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
