Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and facility groundskeeping
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely (e.g., shovels, saws, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction and renovation projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives across city properties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction equipment preferred but not required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
