Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of public works projects including roads, drainage, and utilities
- Verify compliance with city codes, blueprints, and safety regulations
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Issue violation notices and ensure corrective actions
- Assist with emergency response during infrastructure failures
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years construction inspection experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of municipal construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
