Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including digging, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Operate light equipment like jackhammers, saws, and pneumatic tools safely
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment in optimal condition
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with construction tools or heavy equipment preferred
- Strong work ethic in outdoor conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
