Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders) under supervisor guidance
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and sidewalk installations
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public infrastructure projects
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Document work progress and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Pinellas County
