Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light to heavy machinery (sweepers, loaders, jackhammers) with precision and safety protocols
- Assist in construction projects ranging from park enhancements to utility upgrades
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas and report maintenance needs via digital platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project execution and resource allocation
- Implement erosion control measures and environmental best practices during field operations
- Participate in emergency response efforts for weather-related or infrastructure incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of construction or public works experience
- Valid Class C Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with digital reporting tools and mobile device applications
- Basic knowledge of traffic control setup and work zone safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
