Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road repair, drainage systems, and public facility maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, pavement saws, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk installation and traffic signal maintenance
- Conduct daily site inspections and report infrastructure issues to supervisors
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Follow OSHA standards and municipal safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale public works initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme heat
- Experience with construction tools or heavy machinery preferred
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be available for emergency weather response during monsoon season
- Willingness to obtain flagging certification within 30 days of hire
