Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and power washers
- Maintain public spaces including parks, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response efforts during weather-related incidents
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Complete daily maintenance logs and equipment inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
