Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery (e.g., shovels, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in snow removal, drainage system maintenance, and debris cleanup
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times
- Collaborate with crew leads to complete daily project objectives
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards promptly
- Maintain clean and organized work sites
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (cold, snow, wind)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Alaska residency preferred
- Previous public works or construction experience a plus
