Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy equipment (dump trucks, graders, backhoes) safely and efficiently
- Conduct field inspections and document findings via mobile reporting apps
- Collaborate with engineering teams on remote project planning and scheduling
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards during all field operations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate digital records of work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with digital reporting tools (e.g., Field Service Management software)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic math skills for material calculations
