Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain public works equipment (provided) including jackhammers, saws, and loaders
- Perform manual labor tasks such as excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections of work sites and equipment
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Document work progress and submit daily reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong attention to safety procedures
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Preferable: 1+ years of construction or maintenance experience
