Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks (with certification)
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park development projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban improvement initiatives
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy equipment operation (Class A/B CDL a plus)
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
