Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery and equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Assist in construction projects including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal
- Conduct daily safety inspections and adhere to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
- Document work activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, maintenance, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
