Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city work standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (training provided)
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
