Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, compactors, saws) safely and efficiently
- Maintain roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems in assigned zones
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related infrastructure events
- Follow OSHA and county safety protocols at all times
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Flexible availability including weekends and emergency call-outs
- Basic math skills for material calculations
