Responsibilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) for infrastructure repairs
- Assist in road resurfacing, sidewalk construction, and drainage system maintenance
- Perform manual labor including excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Willingness to obtain CDL certification within 30 days of hire
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Flexible schedule including weekends and overtime availability
