Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, grading, trenching, and hauling materials.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment (training provided) including backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and maintaining safe work zones.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure all work sites remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit with the stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating.
