Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping for public infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, graders, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in road maintenance, storm drain cleaning, and park facility repairs
- Conduct daily site inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment maintenance
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
