Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk installation and traffic signal maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of public works facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or related field preferred
