Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks for road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery including jackhammers, tampers, and power washers under supervision
- Assist in site preparation, material handling, and debris removal for construction projects
- Perform routine inspections of infrastructure assets and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Support emergency response teams during weather-related infrastructure events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Previous construction or municipal experience preferred but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
