Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) under supervision
- Perform construction site preparation and cleanup duties
- Assist in road repair, drainage system maintenance, and landscaping projects
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and department protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Complete daily reporting and documentation tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Commitment to completing paid training program (4-8 weeks)
