Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on streets, sidewalks, and traffic control devices.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, graders, and jackhammers, in accordance with safety regulations.
- Inspect municipal infrastructure for damage or wear and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Respond to emergency service requests related to public works and utility maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA and city safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or related field.
- Ability to operate standard heavy equipment (preferred).
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
