Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal vehicles, heavy equipment, and power tools.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair water and sewer infrastructure components, including valves and hydrants.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, graders, and dump trucks, as required.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; technical or trade school certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public works, utilities, or general maintenance.
- Valid Class B Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and nights during emergencies.
