Responsibilities
- Maintain city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems through routine inspections and repairs
- Operate heavy equipment including graders, dump trucks, and asphalt pavers
- Perform landscaping and irrigation maintenance in public parks and medians
- Respond to emergency storm drain and flooding incidents
- Complete daily maintenance logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in water distribution systems or wastewater preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (CDL Class B a plus)
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
