Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and trenchers
- Inspect and repair irrigation systems, sidewalks, and storm drains
- Implement safety protocols during construction and maintenance projects
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within service area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- 2+ years of landscaping or construction maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for equipment repair
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- CPR/First Aid certification desirable
