Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and green spaces
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, trenchers)
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities and infrastructure
- Respond to weather emergencies and storm damage cleanup
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
