Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities including equipment inspections and repairs
- Operate light machinery for street maintenance and landscape management
- Perform routine inspections of public infrastructure and report issues
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related city service disruptions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety regulations
- Document maintenance activities and submit required reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in facility maintenance or construction
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and power equipment
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Spanish/English bilingual proficiency required
