Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems) safely and efficiently
- Respond to service requests for street repairs and storm drain clearing
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related events
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment and facilities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or landscaping
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with maintenance software and digital reporting tools
