Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct site inspections and prepare maintenance reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and inventory records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
