Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city vehicles, machinery, and public infrastructure.
- Inspect streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, and park facilities for safety compliance.
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and public service inquiries promptly.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and signage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- One (1) year of experience in general maintenance, construction, or public works.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Strong commitment to public service and teamwork.
