Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery for road repairs and drainage systems
- Perform routine inspections of public facilities and report safety hazards
- Execute snow removal and emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety regulations and environmental standards
- Assist in stormwater management and flood prevention initiatives
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- Certification in OSHA safety protocols preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
